Welcome to Ms. Surdo’s Pre-K4 Class Page!

Please check our class page often for updates of all our learning adventures, homework, newsletters, and any other important information. I will also be sending out reminders and weekly updates to your email addresses.

Reminders: 

Arrival is at 8:40am at 83rd Street Door. 

Dismissal is at 2:35pm at 83rd Street Door for Full Day Students.

Dismissal for Half Day Students is at 12:30pm same doors. 

Please complete the health questionnaire every morning before 7:30am. 

Medical Form filled out and sent to school (found on school website) for Nurse Karen

Google Forms such as Handbook and Photo Permission were emailed to you. Please have those filled out online. 

Contact Information Card (white card) to be filled out with up to date phone numbers. 

All Items/Belongings to be labeled with your child’s name.

Homework Folder to be brought back and forth to school everyday.

Blanket for Full Day Students labeled with your child’s name in a bag please. 

Extra Clothes including socks labeled with your child’s name in a gallon ziplock bag to be left in the classroom in case of any accidents. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes. 

Snacks: AM snacks (for all students) and PM snacks (for full day students only) are to be sent in separate bags, labeled with your child’s name and “AM”/”PM” clearly visible. Please note that snacks should be separate from their lunch box. Be reminded that deliveries/dropping off food at lunch time is unfortunately, no longer permitted for safety precautions. Please send your child to school with their lunches in the morning.

Reusable water bottle to be labeled with your child’s name. 

Art box to be labeled with your child’s name and supplies to be left in school.

Thoughtful Thursday –  Cohort 2: HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 8:40am to 10:40am

                                                  “All About Me” Worksheet due Monday, September 21st.

Sept. 18th

Fun Friday – First Full Day of School for Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 at 8:40am to 2:35pm. Half Day Students will be dismissed at 12:30pm.

Pre-Kindergarten 4 yr. old Supply List

Please send in the following items within the first week of school.
All items must be labeled with your child’s name. 
  • Medium size backpack
  • Lunch box with reusable water bottle (snacks are separated and labeled)
  • Art box with a box of jumbo size crayons, a safety scissor, a bottle of Elmer’s glue, 2 glue sticks, and sharpened pencils (fatter pencils like Ticonderoga My First Triwrite, My First Pencil, or Beginners Pencils are great for little hands and early writing) all labeled with your child’s name.
  • 2 boxes tissues
  • 2 packages of baby wipes
  • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
  • Receiving blanket to be used during rest time in a bag labeled with your child’s name (for full day students only)
  • Complete change of clothing, including socks, in a bag labeled with child’s name in case of any accidents
  • A $30.00 holiday craft fee donation. This will cover all holiday crafts for the school year. Please make checks payable to St. Helen Catholic Academy.

Welcome to our Class Page! I am so excited to be your child’s Pre-K 4 teacher. I know it’s going to be a great year and I can not wait to get to know and teach each one of them. 

I am looking forward to seeing Cohort 1 for their first day of school on Wednesday, September 16th from 8:40-10:40 and Cohort 2 for their first day of school on Thursday, September 17th from 8:40-10:40.

To ensure it’s the best, safest, and healthiest school year possible please send all items on the supply list (above) the first week of school and please have all items labeled with your child’s name.
