Class News Letter

    Here are some things the students will be working on in their subjects:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  ALL 8th GRADE Students please register ASAP for TACHS test.  

 

 5th Grade:          * Collaborate to see how different bundles of straws can support/not support 

                              different weight. (in class experiment)

  • How did science, math and engineering help fix the Hubble telescope.
  • What is a design process?

6th Grade:           

  • Plants: stems, roots, photosynthesis
  • How do plants reproduce?
  • Explore plant life cycles
  • How do plants store food?
  • Compare self pollination/cross pollination

7th Grade:            *  explore( in class lab) on how to view an article through a piece of plastic 

                                with a drop of water. What happens? What do you discover?

       

      * Compare different types of microscopes

8th Grade: 

  • What are contour lines
  • How is color used in geologic maps?
  • What are the uses of a GPS?
  • What are geographic informational systems?

 

5th Grade:
