Why is the Paschal Candle important?

What symbols are used each year on

the candle?

What does each symbol represent?

This is typed in a document. Please use font size 12. 

 

Then Create your own Paschal Candle. Use

symbols that are always on the candle but

then think of new symbols that remind you of

Easter and the Risen Christ. 

 

After you have read the article about the

Paschal candle and have created your own

candle, write a paragraph explaining the

symbols that are on your candle. What does

each symbol represent? What new symbols

did you choose? Why are these symbols

important or significant?

What Does it mean to be a Journalist?  

Objective:

* students will learn basic journalism skills and techniques of interviewing

* students will learn how to publish and write a “basic” interview story.

* students will learn how to incorporate pictures into an interview report

* students will interview a family member, friend, neighbor, etc and write a “feature story” based on the interview.

* students will create a two page google slide to feature their “interview” story.

  • What are Earth’s Landforms?
  • What is the difference between latitude and longitude?
  • What is the crust, mantle, core?

7th Grade:           

  • To work on an “INSTAGERM” project
  • What is a virus?
  • What is replication and mutation?
  • What are viral diseases?
  • What are some ways to prevent viral diseases?
  • What is a vaccine?

8th Grade: 

  • What are volcanoes?
  • What is the difference between magma and lava?
  • Where do volcanoes form?
  • What is the Ring of Fire?
  • What are the three types of volcanoes?
  • What are the effects of volcanic eruptions?
  • Students will work on a group project and presentation researching a particular volcano
