Merry Christmas!

Week of December 14, 2020

Dear Parents,

It was wonderful to be back in the classroom this week! Thank you for submitting your child’s work (papers or online posts/emails) for the remote learning session. It was also a pleasure speaking with all of you at Parent-Teacher Conferences.

This week is our last week of school before the Christmas recess. We will complete unit 3 of our ELA Wonders program. We will have a Math test on Monday, an ELA unit 2 test (postponed because of the remote learning session) on Tuesday, and a spelling test on Friday.

On Friday our school will have a half-day dismissal to begin the Christmas recess. Our class will participate in a school-wide virtual Christmas Bingo game. We will have snack time before the game, so please consider sending your child in with a special treat in lieu of a class party. School will resume on January 4, 2021.

I wish you all a very blessed Christmas! May God keep you all safe and happy in the new year!

Dear Students and Families,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Savaille, and I am so happy to teach Kindergarten this year at St. Helens Catholic Academy. This school year will be an exciting year of learning to read and write, exploring math concepts, and engaging in social studies and science projects. Kindergarten marks the beginning of your child’s formal academic education, and it will prove to be a milestone in your child’s holistic development.  Each day your child will engage in dynamic experiences in reading and writing, mathematics, religion, science, and social studies. Your child will also participate in special classes in art and music, Spanish language classes, gym, and technology class. Most importantly, your child will be part of a class community that celebrates each person as a precious and unique child of God and encourages cooperation, compassion, and respect for all. I look forward to being a part of your child’s educational experience this school year!

With regards,

Mrs. Savaille
