Welcome to Mrs. Sama’s Spanish Class! This is the place to find Spanish homework for 5th, 6th and 8th grade students. All classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Wednesday night’s homework will be due the next day. Any homework assigned on a Thursday night is not due until the following Wednesday. Homework assignments will be done either in your Spanish notebook or on looseleaf. I will stipulate in the assignment where I want the homework to be done.
I am sending this message to all my students in all my Spanish classes. I know there have been some glitches getting on to Google Classroom. I can see that the majority of you are on. I will continue to help those who are having issues. Please email me. New assignments will be posted every Sunday for the following week. I will be administering tests as well and I will upload the test. You can give me only the answers in a Google Doc through Google Classroom.
Mr. Tudda is currently setting up a schedule through Google Classroom where we can share our thoughts and concerns. He is creating a time schedule for when I will be on and I will forward that information to you through Google Classroom. Please continue to adhere to the due dates for my assignments.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me.
Stay Safe and Healthy

Each class has received from me work which must be completed this week. I am posting this work in GOOGLE CLASSROOM AS WELL. If you have access to a computer or laptop, you may go to Google Classroom and complete the work there and return it to me when you are done. GRADE 5- In the upcoming weeks, the students will begin to learn the conjugations of -er verbs. They will also understand the distinction between the -ar and -er verbs. I have stressed to the students the importance of knowing the subject pronouns and their English translations. They need to memorize these pronouns in order to correctly conjugate any verb.
GRADE 6- The students are currently working on their body projects in class. They have drawn a creature of their choice and are using the vocabulary learned for the parts of the body and the verb “tener” to describe their creature. They will write a short paragraph in Spanish describing the creature using adjectives learned as well. Once the project is completed, the class will be learning the idioms associated with the verb “tener”.
GRADE 7- The students are now learning the plural forms of the conjugations of -ar verbs. They will then learn the conjugations of the irregular verbs – ir, dar, estar and how to use these verbs to express direction and possession.
GRADE 8- The students will practice the preterite tense of -ar verbs and direct object pronouns. The class will then spend some time translating paragraphs recognizing verbs in the present and preterite tense and translating the paragraph appropriately.
